40+ Anime In Space: Best Explorations in the Animeverse

The dark and unknown abyss of Space has always been fascinating. And the media industry has milked and continues to milk that fascination. From Star Wars to the Martian, Hollywood has given us a space movie in nearly every genre.

So, how could anime stay behind?

Although animes in space have taken a step back in recent years, there’s still a huge collection to watch. There are OVAs, films, and multi-season anime series based on manga or light novels. And this list includes all of them.

This is going to be a two-parter. First is a list of the animes in space that I recommend.  Following that is a list of some undiscovered/hidden space anime series and movies that you might not have seen.

For the latter list, you’ll only find their wiki and watch links.
